The Woman In Black

This weekend I went watching 'The Woman In Black' with a friend and her family, from friends who have watched the film I had very high expectations for this film even though its certificate was only a 12A. I am very partial to watching frightening films and so was my friend, and doesn't this film stand to the mark.
The beginning 20 minutes go into a lot of detail regarding the main character Arthur (played by Daniel Radcliffe) and his life with his 4 year old son. He then goes on to visit an abandoned house which is the main location throughout the film alongside a little village.
There are a lot of suspended scenes based around the house location, it does not disappoint in that factor. If one thing appears or shocks you this would be continued for a good 5 minutes, leaving you hiding behind your hands just hoping for it to be over with. The story line is very strong and the ending is quite good.
Originally 'The Woman In Black' was performed on the theater around 15 years ago, seeing both versions compared to the effects that are available now the theater version does not live up to the cinema remotely.
I would highly recommend going watching this before it goes on DVD, it is a good watch that can make you jump out of your skin every 10 minutes.
