For the past 25 years Joseph Kony has been recruiting child soldiers in Africa. Kidnapping them from their homes to raise them to mutilate other children's faces and/or kill them, there has been no stop to his terrible crimes.
However an organisation in the USA called 'Invisible Children'' has been set up from the sights seen by those who help out at countries such as Africa. Joseph Kony is not yet 'famous' and known by others worldwide, otherwise the would of been stopped many years ago! 2012 marks the year for change and to make the children visible.
Spreading the news via social media to increase his popularity will cause more governments to discover what a terrible person he is. On their website (links at the end of this article) 20 known celebrities and 12 government workers have been put forward to spread the word to hopefully make all this information become known across the entire world. With more background information a 29 minute video (above) has been set up on YouTube explaining to ins and outs of the campaign from their founder with information on its history. Kits have been created including bracelets, posters, bumper stickets, leaflets to locate around your local area so people are left asking "Who's Kony?" Until everyone is aware!
So please even if you just watch the video and tell your friends at school/work about it, this should pass the information on to more and more people so we can make a change. The past six years of dedication have resulted in Barack Obama sending off Adviser Soldiers over to Africa, but after Kony changed his techniques it won't be long till the US government see the act as a dead end unless we keep up the interest proving that we care. Its a simple domino effect.
